BEWARE: Virtual squadron patches being sold illegally.

Hello everyone,

It has recently come to our attention that Belgian Virtual Tigers squadron patches can be found on online (second-hand) shops, Please know that we do not currently sell patches, not in person nor online, and those found online are obviously fake.

The patches we’ve seen so far are clearly of poor quality, with multiple minor differences from our official patches. By buying those, you are not supporting the Belgian Virtual Tigers, and in some cases, we even wonder if and how the seller actually knows us.

Should you ever encounter our squadron patches in any shop - physical or online - that is not ours, please let us know as soon as possible, so that we can take the appropriate measures.

To other squadron leaders, we suggest you also check to make sure that your merchandise is not sold anywhere without your knowing.

Actually it’s
1/ offending to the designer of our patch that someone copies it without asking first
2/ strictly speaking plagiarism thus illegal
3/ a commercial intention of the seller which is against BVT views, we do not sell stuff or ask money for any demos and PR stuff outside the sqn
4/ in no way our intention to out ourselves as “the real deal”, so the description that accompanies the patch on certain well known selling platforms is untrue and we wish to dissociate from that notion

Pure humor. Like sqdrn guys that face that serious problem of being accused as they sell badges to take money from naive ppl, when they don’t, could in a humorous way be an excuse to keep those badges for them self. That’s all.

I belong in a squad and I fully understand and stand on those matters. Life is way serious and humor ain’t disrespectful.

A little off subject……has anyone ever considered Squadron Patch swapping? Kind of like how we did with patches and coins in the Military? I think having a collection Of VFW Patches would be interesting to some.
