        I would also ask where we can find all the available mods and which ones overlap. Arty’s Hot List is a start but doesn’t describe what’s out there.

          BMS itself, is the best available mod.

          Get familiar and comfortable with it first.
          Just my opinion and recommendation.

                        As I know EMF has installer…
                        Tom’s texture map contains tile texture but DL link does not work to me so I cannot check its content… You do not need for EMF because it has its own totally unique texture set.

                        As I know EMF does not have campaigns, it is not finished.

                            If you are not newbie I recommend mine Korea '80s MOD. No AIM-120 on any unit, lots of SAM and AAM have much better (based on RL data) modeling values, no more holy weapons (even R-73 and AIM-9M not immune to flares), generally better ATO, it is far more harder than any stock campaign…
                            …but this does not come by simply dumping lots of units to reds it simply uses better available units.

                                Some values might be better, but I’m pretty sure you had to compromise to have acceptable behavior and fire enveloppes, since there is a bug regarding thrust on the missile FM 😉 You wont see it too much with SAMs, but definitely with AAMs.

So as long as Volhov has the 1/3 or RL eng. range we cannot speak anything “realism” especially in case of SA-5 what has or had such guidance values which thrased the SAM because was not able to hit a straight flying target outside about 5-6 deg aspect…

                                    Yes, most SAMs are not ideal in 4.32 but the SA-5 is really garbage compared to what it should be. Unfortunately the thrust profile has to be unique in BMS, while IRL it can change depending on range.

                                    Anyway, all this missile modeling stuff is irrelevant to the OP’s question 😄

                                      Because of bubble limitations and most common targets it can be selected a thrust profile which suits the best in game and RL either.
