No hard data available anywhere since pretty much all of it is classified. Everything else is pure speculation. Once it is in service we might know some maybe some. Just my 2 cents.

yes that’s obvious Archer; I have been reading about it and see buyers including India are lining up to purchase it and the key is if the Russian’s can actually deliver the goods.

That tail end looks very familiar. I haven’t read anything about this fighter, but it looks like a modernization of the SU-27 into a stealth fighter. If that’s the case, I kinda envy the Russians in that they will probably be able to produce a viable stealth fighter at a much lower cost than we can. And other nations are going to be lining up to buy them at a much lower cost than we could provide to our allies.

I look at the weapons that we are currently producing and can’t help but think that we could be doing much better by simply updating older designs to include stealth, and updating the avionics and weapon systems. Perhaps that’s easier said than done, but then again a trillion dollars on a slow heavy POS like the F-35 and expecting it to replace both the F-16 and A-10 just doesn’t seem like a smart move to me. Perhaps we could make the argument that it can effectively replace the F-16 (even though it damn sure isn’t a light weight highly maneuverable fighter), but there is no way in hell that it can provide the CAS that the A-10 is capable of.

Had to look how long I had been following PAK-FA/T-50 progress……since March 2010 since the first flight.

The 9th prototype is possibly due next year?

So far only about 1000 flight hour. The program is very, very far from original scheudle. Final engine still has not installed into a single airframe, no new AAM, radar is not completed, etc.
PAK-FA is similar such an imaginary YF-22 what would have AIM-7M, AN/APG-70 and F100-PW-220 even even with this config fly so few…
PAK-FA is just as hyped (withot any real base) as F-35A/C are underrated…
