I just downloaded the Balkans theater from the Balkan download area sticky,

I placed the download in a separate folder then my Falcon BMS.
I thought I would get a zip file and extract it to the BMS folder, but it looks like the installer. The file reads Balkan_Theater_BMS_converted_v1.0 . I noticed that it is an application type.

I ran this file and got an error…
“BalkansTheater(v1.0) is not allowed to run on WinNTx (6.2)
      Setup Aborted”

      I am running win8.1.

      What does this error mean.
Does this file go directly in the BMS’s “Data” folder?

OK never mind as I found the answer, but do I place the application file in a separate file location and direct it to install in Falcon BMS, or do I have to have the application file in the BMS folder.

Also, I noticed that his is V1.0, Do I want to install this then install V3.0, or can I install 3.0 instead.

Also,do this change the BMS stock program so that I don’t have the stock Korean campaign anymore…if so, can I just copy my stock BMS to a new folder(ie. Stock BMS) and have two BMS programs. One with the stock BMS in a different folder and one of the Balkan theater in another folder.

You have two basic choices …. install a brand new, clean version of BMS u7, then install Balkans … or, install Balkans in your existing BMS.

The basic arguments are that keeping each theater separate (individual installs) will prevent any possible multi-player incompatibility between theaters. The downside is the number of installs and the switching (renaming) to make each theater the ‘active install’.

In any case, the Balkans theater will be an ‘add-on’ to the base install so that you will still have the stock Korea theater/campaigns PLUS the Balkans (or other theater) ‘add-on’.

As an example, I have three installs with multiple theaters … one clean plus our wing theater, one just for EMF and one for ‘everything else’. Like so:

Depending which theater I want to use, I rename that folder to be “Falcon BMS 4.32” and the current ‘active install’ to be some other name, e.g. “Falcon BMS 4.32 - EMF”.

Could you please tell me how you fixed this?
I also got the same problem … Thanks in advance!

Figured it out by reading this thread 🙂
