Noob question

Hello all, years ago when Falcon 4.0 was new, I spent quite a few hours fly and going through all the training. Recently I stumbled onto Falcon BMS 4.33 and wow my old beloved sim has been reborn. So there is no air to air training missions or anything in the training manual. I know the BMS team is looking to add A-A documentation to the manual in the future which will be great. How should I proceed in learning A-A in BMS, it’s way more complex than it was in 4.0, at least as far as key strokes. Right now I am just using a joystick and keyboard, I will be buying a programmable HOTAS in the future. I have been trying very unsuccessfully to actually fire a missile in A-A basically just trying every keystroke combo I can think just to see what happens. What would be your advice to learn air to air radar functions and how to actually select a missile and fire it in 4.33? Can I use the manuals from 4.32? I never played 4.32, is it fairly similar? I have watched a few youtube videos and they are great but the don’t really tell you what keys to use to cycle radar modes and select missiles and fire. Thanks in advance for your help!

Chief, first welcome back. I would recommend the 4.33 manuals. All are available here and in your install’s Docs.
Using a joystick and keyboard is definitely doable. Also I believe in your Docs is a PDF to print the 4.33 BMS keyfile. That and the manuals will get you going, plus we’re here to help. There is a very helpful community here.
