      Hi,

just installed 4.3.3…, made some first flights and wanted then to make a ramp start.
But it isn’t working any more correctly!

As soon the engine is running I switch on the HUD and at once I can read: Warning, warning, warning…
And to right on this board I can read: ‘Avionics failure’ and ‘IFF’
And this lights won’t go off!

      Anything else seems to work.
With 4.3.2 I never had a problem with ramp start…

What am I doing wrong in 4.3.3? Please help!

      TIA

Is there really a new procedure in 4.3.3?

We already helped. We wrote the manuals. Read the Dash 1 or the Training Manual. Both will take you step by step through the Ramp Start procedure in 4.33.

New fault logic has been implemented in 4.33, which require extra steps in ramp.

I solved it with click the F ACK button a few times, but i don’t know if it’s the right step

I can only test tomorrow (I’m now on my GNU/Linux OS)…, but I can imagine what you mean.
So, start again…from the beginning. OMG, I’m a noob again 😉

I’ll give you all a tip.
for normal generic startup only two steps are added.

with some equipment onboard, you mihgt need a few more steps, usually calibration of some sort

What exactly is triggering the IFF caution? Is it the PFL, TEST page?

Is it possible (or even correct idea) to start systems in a specific order to avoid some/all of the warnings and cautions (e.g. starting RWR before MMC)?

That’s the sim complaining there is no IFF…lol.

The IFF system is not implemented and with a ramp start there’s no way I know of to turn the IFF on to extinguish that caution light. Just F-ACK a couple times to clear the PFLD and caution lights, then Clear the MFD Test page.

                                          Clear the TEST page first…

The IFF caution light, indicates that the IFF system was interrogated on mode 4 and is unable to respond because the mode 4 codes (A and B) are zeroized or not coded, mode 4 is not enabled.
IFF caution light will also illuminate if RF switch is in QUIET or SILENT.
Although there is no IFF in BMS, the fault system dose follow the behavior of the real system as closely as possible
