4.33 Issues (Known or not)
-
1. what happened to the old keystrokes; the expanded ones are different and now I am unable to figure out how to lock the target with keyboard (num lock) cursors in HAD and radar modes please advise asap.
It also appears that saved settings revert back to defaults including labels, weapons effects and messages for example.Hey m8!
I understand that its confusing but the only option is to read the manuals and reconfigure the hotas with the new keyfiles.
U will find everything you had before in there its just another keystroke assigned to that callback.Clear skies!

I think I’ve met my first bug with 4.33. I performed the LGB training mission several times to practice GBU bombing technique. During one of the sorties I accidentally locked on my GBU using my TGP! Following A/C damage and lost control of one of my horizontal tail.
I’m not sure if this is a reproducible bug and here are the procedures I did in game.
1. switch to CCRP mode to use GBU-12s
2. lock on a ground building using TGP’s “point-track” mode with correct laser code and CMBT selected
3. push pickle button before a “second hit” of “system cue”
4. circle thrugh CCIP DTOS CCRP by pushing nws key
5. TMS-up on FCR (*not sure if this is necessary)
6. push pickle button again to release GBU
7. switch SOI from FCR to TGP
8. push TMS-up key so the TGP can lock on the building using “point-track” once againif you do above correctly you will be shocked by seeing TGP is tracking your own bomb !
then you may switch to weapon view to look for your bomb and you’ll be shocked again since the bomb simply disappeared !
after several seconds of time you may be shocked once again because your F-16 is suddenly losing control…
I guess that vanished bomb just detonate in your F-16…here are some pics

I’d like to throw in a possible texture bug. SA-2, SA-3, and SA-5 have no skins. They are just gray models. The SA-4 has a “skin” but looks like it was misapplied.
Are you sure?

I don’t use HOTAS Jasjas@Jasajas:

The U95 Jammer pod of the Viggen is carried under the right wing, not at the centerline rack:

And may I ask a question ? How on earth did you come up with those LGB employment steps ? -
The F-18 HUD image is scaled up a little to large to fit in the HUD frame. The sides of the Altitude and Air Speed boxes are being cut off.
The CF-188 (CF-18) loadout options in the Iron Fortress campaign are… odd. Current Canuck Hornets are capable of carrying nearly everything US Hornets can carry and we currently do maintain stocks of JDAMs, JSOWS, and Sniper XR pods; we don’t use Napalm and Fuel Air Explosives. Wouldn’t be terrible loadout options for a Kosovo era bug, but the AIM-9X in the ingame squadron stocks would suggest a more recent era. Admittedly this is a minor problem for an F-16 simulator.

i don’t know if anyone else has this…
in the TFR training i forgot to switch the alt radar from stby to on and got warnings AS i SHOULD.
the “issue” is that no matter what i did the VMS “warning” never stops…
i turned off the TFR,
pressed the master caution and F ACK (multiple times to clear pfld)
turned on Ralt
cleared the test page in MFD and did a warn reset from ICP(it cleared the flashing WARN from HUD)
but the VMS never stopped…
just noticed that it faults and lights up the avionics fault light -
Seems the forum is changing so fast if this in in the wrong place moderator PLS move it. Found what I think to be an error, BMS 1F-16CM-1BMS 4.33 CH 1.05 page 96 OBS 18 line 2 and 3, REF: A3 there was no degrees assigned to entry, mentioned or shown. Also same manual pp 111 HYD/Oil Press entry, last line should read (20 PSI) not 2 PSI

just noticed that it faults and lights up the avionics fault lightAll the above are normal.
All SWIM fly-up’s (in this case caused by the radar altimeter) are reset by the paddle switch. They can also be reset by the FLCS reset switch.
The avionics light is illuminated because of the TF RALT FAIL, NVP COMM FAIL PFL’sTo understand why it looked like the VMS was stuck, next time have a look at the left warning lights. The TF-FAIL light should be illuminated.Your actions did nothing to clear the TF-FAIL Warning.
F-ACK acknowledges and recalls the faults. That all it does. It does not fix them.
Pressing the master caution only resets it for subsequent cautions.
The clearing of the MFL’s will conduct a fault survey. They will blank out for a few seconds and reappear since the faults still exist.
So next time keep the paddle switch depressed until you see the radar altimeter registering good data. Then you can release to reset the SWIM. F-ACK so the caution panel lights go off and the master caution resets.I assume from what you have post that you experienced a TF-FAIL but with no fly-up. This allows me believe that you did not set the MAN TF FLYUP to enable.
Be cautious for there will be no fly-up protection for manual TFR -

If you give us a full list and the hardpoints they are used on, then we can include it in the next update.
This is what i used to get the RAAF hornets updated.

g_bAllowMP_Freeze "
Allows the MP host to specify whether “freeze” pause can be used (default = 0/disabled).
Available options: 0/1."PS Just checked it again & again & again, under all possible combinations, server in 2d server in 3d, client paused, client unpaused, ect ect
But nothing is any different from 4.32.
I was hoping for server going back to “Pause” after the last client disconnects.
Maybe next time.

I have had to install and remove 4.33 now twice. I have had the same problem and it is possibly my own fault. In a local campaign with a block 52 F-16C scheduled for a DEAD mission briefing checking the load out, wanted to load a HTS pod, however there was no box to check it. When I selected the Targeting Pod, there were two pods on the aircraft. During engine start, taxi, takeoff, and enroot, I attempted to set up the A-G weapons and selected the AGM-88 powered ON and the HAD page was OFF. I noticed that the training mission for the HARM load out has the HTS pod available. I am wondering if there is something I do not know or if there is problem with the software. Any response would be extremely helpful.
Thanks, and by the way, it is a beautiful piece of software to say the least! It was very well worth the wait.

To leech:
For your second question. As I said above it was an accident. 4-5 seconds before release I was looking at tgp screen thinking it is zoomed in too much onto the target. Then I accidentally pressed on the wrong button(nws/msl step) which I should’t (pinky should be used here). Obviously the system was switched from ccrp to ccip……I had to switch it back quickly (within 2-3 seconds). Then bad thing happened as described above
For the video part I’d have a try. But I’m not sure if I can reproduce it

You might had been flying the KF-16C 52 instead of the F16CM-52 that uses the HTS
The KF-16C 52 does not have a HTS pod. The KF-16C 52 also does no use the sniper pod, but the LANTRIN instead. The 2 pods you saw where the TGP and the NVP.
For HARM employment with the KF-16C 52 you will need to use the ALIC (Aircraft Launcher Interface Computer). This can be accessed via the WPN page while in AG mode.
You will need to study the manual for employing the AGM-88 with the ALIC -

I too tried MP Freeze without success. I would like more information about this

I am enjoying the 4.33 environment extremely well, however, I have one issue which perhaps you can help solve. SEAD or DEAD missions use the AGM-88 which normally use the HTS pod to control the attack. This has been around for quite a while as in 4.32 if you used the ramp start and selected the HTS pod in the weapons load in the briefing page. 4.33 on the other hand does not give the option to Load the HTS pod. The text is there however there is no box to select it. If you select the Sniper Pod, then both pods are placed on the aircraft. During flight, when I clicked on the HAD and the MFD showed HTS OFF. It only occurs in a campaign which is unfortunate indeed. The training missions seem to be okay on this issue, which seems even more complex. Any advice would certainly be appreciated. This version 4.33 is beautiful and fast and highly detailed. It just breaks my heart that I cannot figure how to start taking out those pesky little SAM operators.
Thanks BMS you geniuses
