4.33 Campaign Playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLxhmQcWxqgmCOP_PZm5X0LDgxzZl4SsPN
Uploaded my first plays of 4.33 which of course were LANTIRN strikes on airbases!
Of course there’s more coming soon. Please excuse my terrible flying and what not - this was the first time I flew 4.33
Check six!

Nice flying but lol, what’s wrong with your FPS?
-
Nice flying. Don’t forget about FLIR LIT (Look Into Turns) feature, it can be handy during turning in valleys like this.

Not sure, I just reformatted my computer so I need to figure it out. Possibly need to lower my BMS settings. Will be following A.S.'s master post when I get some time and definitely before uploading my next video.

A UOAF LANTIRN infiltration raid deep inside DPRK airspace turns into a murderous furball.
UOAF guys fumbling around trying to learn the F-18. Many lulz were had. At my expense. ::hums top gun theme song:: -
Looks way better than F16 Combat Pilot did, back in those days.:wfish:

Adventures with Azzwort. Typically involve death or dismemberment. But it’s what we do when it’s late at night and no one will get together for a proper 4 ship. In this episode, we use bad British accents to get ourselves into a tight spot chaps.
-
In this episode, Azzwort decides it’s totally possible for just the two of us to attack an airbase heavily guarded by air defenses and a mig-23 squadron. As i’m sure you’ve guessed, it turns out perfectly.
-
This flight perfectly captures the grand tour of F-16 capabilities: night fighting, LANTIRN, deep strike, and always 1 button press from being the most dangerous fighter in the world.

What are your thoughts on the new non-Viper planes in BMS so far? I’ve heard some people have outright dislike for them because they’re Vipers in disguise, but they look pretty fun. I haven’t had a chance to try any of them yet though.

Let’s be clear: they are all gimmick planes. It’s fun to fly around a Tornado and use a shitty English accent. Is it a good tornado sim? no. I find them to be highly entertaining but as long as you don’t go in looking for the same level of realism as the F-16 you’ll be ok.

What would you compare them with? Are they as detailed as flaming cliffs modules in DCS World?

The switchology in the cockpits is realistic - everything else is f-16 based. You can rampstart the f-18 and tornado realistically, but it still uses f-16 systems, avionics etc.

Oh roger that.

Trying to hit the same target I tried previously with Azzwort, but with an EF-111 Sparkvark on point, and 4 ships. Two of my wingmen are brits, that’s got to count for something right? We run into a nasty surprise as we roll in on the airbase.

Nice vid! I especially like the landing at the end!
A couple of questions if you don’t mind:
Is that a mission from the stock K.T.O campaign but you just put the packages together yourself?
The pilot body/kneeboard mod…I’ve been looking for one compatible with 4.33…guess I missed it. Which one are you using?
Thanks!
-
How do you start up the Tornado, by the way? There’s no documentation and I couldn’t find the battery switch anywhere. I found just about everything else though.
Also disappointed the German camo skin isn’t visible from inside the cockpit.

I am using the stock tornado that came with BMS - no mods. The knees/boards are there by default.
It is KTO but I made two custom squadrons (the tornado GR4 and ef111) using the excellent new tool which I highly recommend called Mission Commander. TacEdit was the standard for editing campaigns but is easy to break your campaign and has a terrible user interface (no offense to whoever made it). I would argue that anyone can use Mission Commander to make custom campaigns, it’s a very good program.

no idea - we did not do a ramp start.
We were not in Tornado IDS - these are Tornado GR4 - BRITISH Tornados! Hence why I have two brits flying with me - Ghostdog and Lexi. MY wingman is an American though

I was considering doing a full AAR at the end - but didn’t have time to edit it together. The reason I got hit (by the SA-15) is because when we rolled in we were 3 minutes behind caret due to being delayed with some technical issues with my wingman (#2). By the time we got there the sparky had already been jamming for 3 minutes, but was fragged to be on station only for 4 minutes. In the 1 minute between my pop-up and reattack the targets were jammed, but by the final of my re-attack the sparky was off station, hence the SA-15 was no longer suppressed and began to engage us. It was probably a mistake to re-attack the target, and was entirely my fault that I got hit. As soon as I saw MUD 15 on my scope in tracking mode we should have aborted.
The final of element 2 was pure luck that Ghostdog was not killed - he had two nose aspect SA-15 or SA-13 launches at him at close range, should have been dead.
Ultimately we destroyed the airbase and the radars of the SA-2 and SA-3 battalions defending it. We did not know the HQ battalion with the SA-15 was going to be there, there was no sign of it during intel.
