IFlyBMS

Hi -Ice,
Great news. Thanks.
News has been posted, with some delay, on the FlightSimCommunity Facebook portal. -
I feel like saying thanks to myself, but Thanks!

Just gave it a go, unfortunately Iām having trouble with the key file, especially the ICP keys which you use are the radar cursor keys and so on, thatās screwing with my X52 config. Is there a way to reassign some of the keys in iFlyBMS?
For exaple, default ICP keys are Ctrl+Num1, Ctrl+Num2 and so on, and Iād like to keep those since they are toggle buttons and wonāt have a sync problem like the landing gear handle doesā¦Thanks for the great work though, Iām sure it will progress into a great piece of equipment

Nice work -Ice. Itās good to have some variety out there.
For those wanting a photo-realistic ICP which works on iPhone or iPad just click on the link in my sig.
In answer to some of the questions re MFDs you can do it on an iPad but itās a more involved process to get it working and theyāre obviously a bit smaller than the actual MFDs. Iāve tried both scenarios and I personally prefer using the iPad for input only as an ICP. The iPhone will work just the same but you obviously need to be very accurate when pressing the much smaller (virtual) buttons.

What it looks like in action.

Is there any way to have the MFDās on the Ipad? That would be really amazing.

There are a couple of options out there, but they havenāt been commented on in some time. Check the Input Devices -> Touchscreens forum.
Cheers!

I ended up getting an iPad for college. So I need to figure out which app for BMS is the bestā¦

Greetings Ice,
I was looking at your video and noticed that you have your MFDās mounted to your monitor. Iād like to do that with my Thrusmaster MFDās and have the MFD display inside them. How did you mount those to your monitor?
Thanks,
-Matt

Ice, thanks for this great tool. Youāve done a magnificent job. Now waiting for the next version, with horizontal display, maybe ?

Wow, Iām surprised my thread is still up. Thanks for trying it out guys.
Matt, the MFDs are taped to the monitor bezel using double-sided tape. Judy, my apologies but I do not see myself working on this anymore. The simple reason is because I managed to score a 10" Lilliput touch screen which I am using now for the exact same purpose as iFlyBMS. I may do a horizontal setup if I find the time in the future, but thatās a big āif.ā The only reason it is an āifā is because one of the guys Iām flying with has requested this as well, so Iāll see what I can do.

Could you make this work on an iphone also?

No sweat man, your tool is already just great as it is/ But thanks anyway for considering the horizontal version. Anywhere we can have a look at your setup with the 10" touch screen ?

JudyItās just like the setup on the video I did, but this time there is a 10" monitor below the instruments monitor, so itās right between my legs. It has a sort of stand though so I can pull it out and forward a bit, so itās very easy and accessible, just like the F-16ās ICP although itās not in-your-face and is situated lowerā¦

Er, see post above yours dude. Shorter version: Me = no, You = yes. Try it!

If thatās OK with you, I might try to create an horizontal version. I donāt have a clue how, but Iāll start researching.

will try it out on an Iphoneā¦

I canāt have my Ipad to connect to the server anymore
I woulod really NEED and appreciate some networking help here.
I explained everything here
Please, if you have any networking knowledge, please help me out !!!
edit:
this is my problem basically :
and this is how my network looks like :
HEEEEEEEEEEELP

Hello Shung! Sorry to hear about your problems but it sounds like itās more of a network issue than a iFlyBMS issue. When you try to connect to the TouchControl server from the iPad, does it connect? Have you updated the TouchControl PC-side or iPad-side programs? If you havenāt then keep it that way. Iāve not used the newer version so Dave may have changed something we donāt know about. I see youāve posted on the TouchControl website, give it a couple of days and Dave might be able to help you out. Might be a good idea to drop him a direct email too as he seems to reply to that quicker.
Iām assuming your iPad can still connect to your wifi network and can surf the net and such? If so, then we know the iPad-to-wifi network is fine. You might want to take a look at the ZeroConfig network setup again, or maybe re-install the PC-side of TouchControl.
Good luck!

nope
I am sure it is a networking issue yesā¦ The only problem is that i havent changed a lot since it was still workingā¦ I only changed my IP ranges for my modem router (from 192.168.1.9 to 192.168.0.9) and my wifi router IP (from 192.168.10.1 to 192.168.0.1)
But my networking knowledge is really limited, and I am totally unable to fix it
Yes, i can still surf the internet etc from my ipadā¦ But it only works when the WAN IP address I set in the WIFI router is my neighbours (192.168.0.254, from his own modem router) ā¦ doesnt work when its my own modem router IP (192.168.0.9)ā¦ On the other hand when i set this IP in my netword card TCP protocol, for internet, through the RJ45 network (192.168.0.9) internet is workingā¦
I guess, in some ways, my wifi router is unable to get informations through my own modem router (both the touchcontrol thing, or my own internet connection). its just that my networking knowledge is too poor to find a solution myself.
I have updated both my touchcontrol server and the appā¦ I tried.
I might have to try reinstalling everything. Im still at the army this week, but when i come back, if I havent had any answer on the forum, ill try shooting the guy an email.
I really need help
