      Hi all guys.
The problem is this: I have Windows 7 64 bit and when I try to connect to any server or a host I get the “failure to estabilish connection” error. If I am the host, the others can’t connect to me. I have an installation of Open Falcon on my hard disk and there all goes well. I can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong. I checked the router’s doors and they are opened, I shut off firewall and antivirus, deinstalled the BMS and reinstalled in the "Program files (x86) directory… I don’t know how to get this wonderful simulator to work online. Offline everything works well. Open Falcon works well online with these settings. Is there anyone that can figure out how to resolve this problem?

Also no-go with “run as administrator”. All required ports are forwarded and triggered. Noone have an idea of what could be the problem? 😞

your firewall/av suite may be doing something despite you think you’ve shut it down.
it is known that Norton products and BMS don’t go along well together, so if you are using any of their products good luck with properly uninstalling them…
if you are using some other fw/av then instead of shutting em down try to configure them for bms.

Have a look at the firewall and antivirus settings for any blocks to the bms exe.

              Same here with W7 x64.

Firewall disabled on router and windows. No antivirus used.

NAT is working and checked using port forwarding checker utility. NATed ports TCP 2934 - 2937

Yet, “failure to estabilish connection” error

              The IVC Client connects normally.

              Any Ideas ?

Ok I have It resolved finally !

If you have UAC (User Account Control) at Windows 7 activated then this is the reason !
BMS4 need to open IVC client/Server, every time you try to connect online.
In order the IVC client/Server to open from BMS call, It needs to run with administrative privilages.

So, either disable UAC (not recomended at all)
                or

                • go to x:\Falcon BMS 4.32\Bin\x86\IVC
                • right click IVC client.exe and IVC Server.exe
                • select compatibility and check Run this program as administrator
                • select Change settings for all users and check Run this program as administrator

the above must be done for both IVC client/Server executables !

For the IVC server you also need to open ports: 9987-9989.

Thx Moort! Ports are for routers right? Don’t have a router.

I have been flying Falcon online for over 10 years now and I’ve never had this much trouble getting it to connect online. I could use some help. To make this go quicker, trust me when I say that ports 2934-7, 9987-9989 are opened. I say that because that process of doing/confirming took about 3 days before we trusted it. Win firewall and my personal firewall can be shut down and I still get the “failure to connect to server” message. Have you guys had to do anything else to get this to work? Any help would be appreciated. If I have to do a rain dance while wearing a grass skirt in my driveway to get it to connect, let’s just say I’ll consider it.

The easiest things to check for sure are same installed versions of BMS and on the same theater. Both will cause this fail. Only other time I’ve seen this problem my buddy couldn’t connect to me and it turned out to be a bad install of BMS. He re-downloaded/installed then it worked just fine.

Jolly, you don’t need to set anything in that box.
just follow his outline step by step.
