How to hit GMT with LGB?
-
Laser won’t fire if the TGP isn’t SOI?
-
It certainly does for me. I see why you should have TGP as SOI, so you can re-acquire the target if something happens before impact, but it’s not necessary to fire the laser.
-
FWIW, in my experience so far, I too had to have TGP as SOI in order to be able to lase manually. Wasn’t sure if that’s a feature or a bug, so didn’t bring it to the forums before.
Is it possible, by the way, that the “GBU turning into missile when lasing” bug is still in 4.33? Noticed a few odd things in Tacview with the GBU-54, that gave me that impression.

The laser won’t fire manually if the TGP isn’t the SOI, but it’ll fire automatically.
As for the “Wierd behavior” of GBU-54, that isn’t related to LGBs but more to a limitation of the bombs code to handle the movement of the bombs, the physics isn’t so great so sometimes the code cause them to kick a bit, but that is MUCH better than 4.32, in 4.32 the JDAMs kicks were much worse, and LGBs could be guided towards 20NM a head if you pushed the laser spot there. Now the bombs are doing some kicking sometimes, but that’s a “1-time” movement and they are energy bounded.

It definitely does for me. Bug?

Is there a way to set laser to combat so it will be there when entering the 3d world each time

No.
The TGP object is initialized with training laser, that is like the real thing, you are in training mode unless you have to combat-lase for a good reason.
(And yes I know it can be a PITA to set it every time you enter an airborne TE or something… but then the same could be said about Master-Arm, Laser-Arm and what have you)

Hi,
I´m in training (again) with/for GBU´s (12).
So far all fine…with first trigger detent.
But I cannot set/get´continuous´ lasing. I read in the thread, that it is in the Laser DED page, but I cannot find it there…TIA
EarlybiteEDIT:
I´m not sure, if I´m doing correct, but it seems to me, that each time I was over the target. I tracked, the laser was fired again…

Get to laser page, there you should find the auto laser firing time, change it to whatever you like. There is also a setting in the <callsign>.ini file so you can load it by default with any value.Of course, everything is also on the manuals, if you go over the Sniper section in the BMS 3-4, you will see it there.</callsign>

Setting a really high value should achieve continuous lasing?

I was searching for something like ´autolasing on/off´
Thanks for answering!
