Given the fact that the X55 has no AB detent (or idle detent for that matter), what ideas would you suggest to be able to control the AB with precision?

Like you, I wish there was a detent on the X-55. The only way around it for me is to increase the volume slider under the “Sound” tab. At least I can now hear that I am in AB. I am not at the computer now, but it should be on the right upper side.

Keep an eye on the pph readout for fuel flow, and the nozzle position. You should be checking those every minute or so anyway.

Well, it varies based on altitude, speed and throttle position. However it increases a lot when you creep into AB. The transition is very noticeable.

Adjust the throttle with small increments, observing the fuel flow indicator and the nozzle position indicator?

I just set the ab detent to 99% in-game. Then firewall the throttle and bring it back a millimetre or two and I’m at mil power, or very slightly under. Since I’ve been doing this I’m no-longer hunting for the detent.

Just look right side of pit, there is nozzle position gauge just above rmp gauge 🙂
