Possible 3-monitor config?
-
Note that this is for stretching a display/image over different-sized monitors. If you have three identical monitors for display and a fourth one of different size/resolution for instrument panel or whatever, there is no need for SoftTH. I don’t know about nVidia Surround but I definitely have Eyefinity off because it doesn’t work well with different-sized monitors.

nvidia surround works on identical resolution monitors, thus no need for SoftTH.

AFAIK eyefinity works much better than nvidia surround with different-sized monitors. Just because nVidia surround does not work at all with them. Nvidia surround creates a new virtual monitor that would expand across the size of your three main monitors, but then there is no way to get the fourth screen to work.
That is pretty much my config and I had to connect my “auxiliary” 8’’ MFD monitors to another computer and use a client /sever config.
On the other hand I have a friend that uses ATI eyefinity and has four or five screens connected and they work pretty well.

I have never used nVidia surround but I am using EyeFinity with 5 monitors, 3 x 24" and 2 x 3.5", and it lets me group three monitors together and span the Falcon Display across one, while pushing the MFDs onto the smaller monitors which are left individual of each other, and I have no problems with it at all.
I don’t know if nVidia has anything similar, but under EyeFinity I have different profiles setup for my flying VS my normal computer use, and different windows logins trigger each one to load so I can more easily switch between them.

AFAIK that can not be done with nvidia surround.
Not taking about performance, but when it comes to multi-display-management, ATI drivers are way ahead of nvidia.
I also have profiles for different setups, but it can not be done via drivers and I have to used a third party software called ultramon.
Ultramon can manage different multi screen profiles, but can’t core with turning nvidia surround on and off.

Hi ASharpe, Is this in windowed mode or fullscreen mode?
Thanks.

I believe from my experience that this is in window mode, sometimes called “Fullscreen Windowed”. There is no border and fills up the edge of every monitor, but sometimes I can see the regular mouse cursor and even click out of the game on occasion to the desktop or other windows.

This info I gave is not correct.

I run three 24" monitors as an Eyefinity group – 1920x1200 set up side by side each in portrait orientation. At the edges the view field is quite distorted especially if I set the FOV to wider than say 80 to 100 degrees
Is there a fix for this distortion?
