Any Mirrors yet?

I am not comfortable with Torrent dwnld…when will the mirrors be set up??

there are some mirrors offered by the community,
however, they are currently not published in this forum because of BMS team preference (mainly due to torrent’s ability to provide very high bandwidth with no server bottleneck).
Available community mirror links will be provided later on. but for now, if you want a direct download, you’ll need to find it in one of the communities.I would recommend looking for it in the more known falcon squadrons and not download from a random site (as an official torrent is infinitesimally safer then a random donwload)

Don’t be scared of torrents. a lot safer the random downloads.
Its the “Torrent sites” where you get " hacked & illegal software/movies/apps/muzic ect" that are the doggy aspect of torrent downloads.
Get with the 90s……:D

From a friend (no not me, really, I’m not that desperate) who doesn’t have hi speed :

Man, Torrents are slow. I can’t figure out why it never uses all the bandwidth that is available. It always stays around 2.8k and less no matter how the parms are set. Surely, on dialup it should swamp the available meager bandwidth to its max. Regular non Torrent downloads do, and so did the peer to peer Limewire, so I don’t get why BitTorrent should be so slow (even by dialup standards)._

Torrents are not slow , just be sure that you have right ports open etc…
I get max speed almost always , i have 100mb fiber so it may be reason. Do you mean modem when you say dialup? 56k modem ?

I will admit I had some trepidation downloading 4.33 via Torrent. I had never used torrent before. However, after downloading utorrent, the installation went very well with no hacking/weirdness , even after I seeded for a week
