      Can anyone explain to me why my F-16 DED is blank when entering a hot jet, like training mission or any taxi start in BMS 4.33? No text displays in response to UFC buttons or sensor power switches. I can get DED data to display on the HUD, but not the DED itself. All other avionics and displays function normally. I’m not a nooby at this, but I am old. Appreciate any advice.

          Check if the DED rotary knob on the internal lighting panel is on

            One way to permanently have it stay on, is to use WDP if you are familiar with it. It has a feature that you can check to have the DED turned on when jump into the cockpit.

              DED rotary knob. Thanks. Told you I am getting old. Lots of new stuff to learn in 4.33 Devs did an outstanding job with this old code.

                Or if you do not use WDP it is a simple matter to get into your callsign.ini file and change this setting.

                [INT_LIGHTING]
                DED=2

                Yours will be set at zero which is intensity off. Setting it to a 2 is max intensity. Same kind of a dealio for the RALT. For the RALT 0 is off 1 is standby and 2 is on.

                [SNSR_PWR]
                RALT=2
