Non Falccon Startup Procedures

Hi, first of all I’d like to say thank you for the outstanding game you all have produced, this is perhaps one of the most engaging sims I’ve ever played thanks to both the unique dynamic campaign, and the depth of the simulation of the F-16. However, I have several friends interested only in flying the Tornado or the Harrier (And one isn’t so happy it’s not a British one
). I’ve hunted through the manuals looking for information pertaining to ramp starts for them but I’ve come up dry. Except for the cockpit diagrams for a few aircraft.
Does anyone have a ramp start checklist pertaining to those aircraft? The best I’ve found is an FSX Harrier vid.

yes in your docs folder

Ok……where in the docs folder?
Tirak, I see what you mean…I found nothing either. Good luck

No there isn’t anything but a cockpit diagram for the harrier in the Docs\Checklists & Cockpit Diagrams folders
The rampstarts still need to be done. any volonteer? Because it takes a guy who has interest and knowledge in these airplanes -
I understand that the F15E is not completely done and wasn’t able to find the MMC switch. I got the bird airborne, but without HSD and some.

Is it possible to do it with keystrokes only? This might take some research.

Zippo is working in the AV-8B Harrier II + https://goo.gl/LY0w8Y
And I am working in the F/A-18A http://1drv.ms/1NUszXX

Because it takes a guy who has interest and knowledge in these airplanesI saw the spanish language video linked above, and thought I could probably do one in english. I can probably get to work on it tomorrow with the help of that checklist located here (two posts above mine actually).
I’ll let you know if and when I am able to complete it tomorrow.
Edit- Video is done and will be live on youtube this evening at 4PM EST. I had to figure out where some things that were missing from the checklist went, but I believe I should have enough of a walkthrough that the average Joe can follow. I will post the link later today. It will be followed up by a second video of my “first look” at the Harrier with commentary at 6PM EST. (basically the rest of the flight after the ramp start)

All F18 hornet fans can use this video:
With a video the ramp start is more simple.
-
That is awesome, thank you for this Massima!

Ok here is my shot at a full ramp start tutorial video for the AV-8B Harrier. I think I got it all, and whatever may be fuzzy I added subtitles. Thanks to Daisan for the checklist, that helped IMMENSELY!

1. Don’t have to look around for canopy switch, it’s clickable through any object.
2. Don’t power the LT/RT hardpoints (labeled generator) until later and if you have stuff stuck on the plane.
3. Pitot heat off until just before takeoff please. It gets hot!
4. FCR power wait until engine is running please.
5. Do not set INS to align until after DED is visible.
6. BU/UFC after UFC is powered.
7. Set flow feed NORM before cranking engine.
8. UFC power after engine is running full.
9. Prepare ext. lighting before engine start.
10. The farthest forward “these 4 avionics” switches is the master fuel cutoff switch.
11. EWS “turn this on” sequence clicked was: CMDS-RWR link, CMDS-JMR link, ECM JMR power, flare dispenser, chaff dispenser, RWR power, Handoff
12. Please turn on COM1/COM2 much earlier (at least before DTC load).
13. DL system power via DL up front button.
14. “Don’t know what that is” Drift C/O and I don’t know the second. -
When starting up the Harrier from ramp, I find that the FCR won’t scan. It’ll start, bit-test and swap modes just fine, but the only way to get the scan going is in DF-mode with the FCR slaved to the HMCS, and the problem persists when cancelling DF. I see that BelGeode has the same problem as me in his videos (FCR azimuth scan symbol stuck to the left edge of the MFD). Am I (we) doing something wrong here, or is it a bug?

The day attack Harrier ain’t got no radar.
