      Hello Gents,

When flying BARCAP missions the Patrol On Station Time is automaticaly set to 30 minutes (in AF, OF and FBMS). In the Flight Plan I allways change the Patrol On Station Time to zero minutes (deselect all the green locks exept for the Takeoff Time make it possible to set the Patrol Time to zero minutes). The reason for changing the Patrol On Station Time to zero minutes in the Flight Plan is to avoid a ‘Horrible’ mission result when the mission has to be aborted due too many red airforces or any other reason the mission has to be aborted (Winchester, Bingo etc).

In Falcon BMS 4.32, with the two updates installed, I get a CTD as soon as I want to change to Patrol On Station Time in the Flight Plan when planning BARCAP’s.

      Thank you.

      Regards.

      Nick-san

        Hi Nick-san,

When I do that I first drag the waypoints where I want to have them, then click on #4 to get the steerpoint screen. I click on the ‘30’ minutes and change them to ‘00’ (I don’t click the locks…). Then I change the TOS for every steerpoint to get a reasonable speed. (270 till #2, 310 till#3 etc.)
I stopped the clock before and I am not too close to take-off time…
        No CTD’s for me.

        regards,
        Stern

We do something similar for our barcaps and dca’s but follow these steps to avoid a ctd.

          1. Unlock all the padlocks except Stp 1
          2. Move the Stps where we want them ( Move them slowly accross the 2D map )
          3. Adjust the barcap/dca time to 2 minutes ( Click the clock arrows one at a time ( not holding it down and letting in scroll from 30 to 2 quickly )
          4. Save Data Cartridge
          5. Shoot down lots of enemy planes 😄

          Hope this helps

Dear Coco and Stern. Thank you for the guides to aviod a CTD when I want to change the Patrol Time. Both two guides helped me out and now it works all great.

            Thank you!

Hate to revive an old thread for a simple question, but what does CTD stand for?

I believe they are referring to “Crash To Desktop”.

Which is ironically funny in this case.

Now if only they would change ‘Windows Update’ to ‘Buying The Farm’.
