When I play the campaign, land the aircraft then end the mission with the ESC menu, it always crashed to the desktop. Some of the training missions are ok, and some instant action are fine but the campaign always crashes making it impossible to play. Never had this issue with 4.32 and I’m not sure if any default settings were changed. Anybody have a similar issue?

I am having the same issue. Using windows 10. Every time I complete a campaign mission it crashes, or just hangs there until I have to force quit the game. It only happens on campaign missions for me.

I guess (!) you both had running the ACMI tape during flight. Depending on the length of your mission BMS needs some time to write the tape on the harddisk. This is happening righter after klicking “END MISSION” so it looks like the sim had crashed.

Could also be a growing briefing.txt file. It’s a good idea to clean out the acmi & briefing folders every once in a while, I have a launcher script that does this automatically.

            Cheers, Uwe

Neither the ACMI or Briefing seem to be the issue. I deleted all recorded ACMI’s and deleted the briefing file in the users folder. Still crashed after exiting a campaign mission.

Have you recorded an ACMI at the last try?

                Campaign or TE?

I deleted all ACMI’s then loaded up a save from the campaign. I took off with ACMI running, and one without. Turned off ACMI and waited a min before quitting. When the first ACMI recorded and finished, the mission ended just fine. When the second one recorded and finished, the program crashed. It also crashed when I did not record an ACMI and quit the mission. This is all from the campaign.

Did i understand you right that you have flown two missions in a row? If yes, it’s highly recommended to restart BMS after each mission …

Actually, it still crashes after an extended period of flying. I had ACMI turned off, no files in the briefing or ACMI folders, started up the program and went to fly the mission. Flew to the second steerpoint and decided to see if it would be ok. Ended the mission and it crashed.

                        Hi,

same problem here, with or without ACMI, the game hangs most of the time when I press End Mission.

Flew my first campaign mission today, and I also had BMS crash when ending the mission.

I’ve got the crash logs if it’s any help. First part of it says:

Falcon BMS.exe caused an EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION in:

Same here. Crashes after every mission SP campaign. Bummer. Good thing 95% of my flying is MP.

Same issue here …. I somehow suspect MC or WC to cause a crash.

Same problem. Tiger Spirit, single player mission.

Get taken out by a heater, the view changes to external so I get to see my aircraft going down in flames.

Press Esc to return to the UI and the programme crashes. Black screen, with a dialog box stating that the programme has crashed.

No ACMI file created and my logbook has not been updated.

This was the first mission flown using a weather map (update weather selected).

Fortunately? two fault logs were generated. For some reason the crash.dmp file would not upload, possibly due to its size, 127,000 KB.

cYes I have just started getting a CTD when exiting a campaigh SP mission. Nothing saved to logbook or campaign so losing progress?

                                      Any solutions.

Running 64bit Win 10 - doing graphics driver update now to see if that helps

After 4 crashes - the only common factor I can see is that they happen if I have ejected /been shot down. Completed and saved a mission where I got back to base

Crash appears often (not always) after exiting campaign mission, also in 32-bit version, also when it is the first mission after launching the game.
I have only 4 ACMI files.
Here a 64-bit crash, please help, how can I avoid it?
