BMS 4.33 Flight Control Axis Assignment
-
Just wanted to report an issue that I ran into last night.
I just did a fresh installation of 4.33 and was setting up my X-55 assignments. obviously I wanted to do the Control Axis first. First I ensured that the X/Y axis on the stick were properly selected. Then I did the throttle, followed by the Rudder (Z-Axis on stick). Unfortunately it didn’t see this axis. I hit okay (Keyboard selected) and applied the selections and went back into setup. I noticed the Rudder was grayed out on the opening screen. I went to advanced again and decided to assign the rudder axis to one of the many rotation knobs on the throttle side of the x-55. None of those rotation assignments were acknowledged by Falcon. I could select them but moving them didn’t do anything.
I looked around to see if anyone else had this issue today and couldn’t find any. So I went ahead and ensured that all drivers on my computer (including x-55) were updated. I just tried this process again with no success.
I will be hooking up my flight pedals tonight to see if they assign or not.
I have confirmed that the flight stick is working fine as all axis were used five minutes later in DCS.
I will repost with results of pedals/axis assignment.
Thanks,

Are you changing the Controller setting from Joystick and then to Throttle? If so, leave it to “Joystick”…do not change from that setting. Program your entire HOTAS in that setting.

Yes, lol I learned a long time ago to ensure that is the displayed controller on the “main” control page

Twist Axis on the X-55 Throttle still doesn’t work. Saitek Pedals axis won’t work either. I don’t understand it, but the brake toe pedal axis actually is controlling my rudder now. Not what is assigned to the rudder, but whatever axis is assigned to brake and then right brake. Really weird.

Make sure you are setting them up properly in the “Advanced” tab.

My rudders and throttle occasionally swap axis which I suspect is windows reassigning ID’s for god knows what reason… I just uninstall the rudders in settings, unplug then replug in the rudders USB which re-installs and it’s back to normal. Give it a try might work for you.
Oops, forgot to mention mine are CH pedals.
