BMS 4.33 INSTALL

Have a .exe file of f4108us, but when I go to do the 4.33 setup wizard; I select the folder this file is in, but next is grayed out and I can’t continue install. Anyone help please!

I think you may need to mount the ISO/CD with daemon tools or another virtual drive programme.

Considering you have .exe file, I’d say your best bet is to install f4108us, because I don’t think you can mount exe. Then point the 4.33 to the installed directory.

Ahh yes but seeing as he has the exe I’m guessing he has the CD or ISO.

You should be able to install using the exe only.
I’ve installed F4, copied the exe out and uninstalled. And I had no issues installing all the BMS versions.So make sure you gave the correct falcon.exe from the install, not a packed installer exe (like the one you get from GOG for example)

No, the executable is all that’s required. I keep mine in the setup directory root. Same as 4.32. Is it possible the executable isn’t actually genuine, or is perhaps the 1.08 update patch file?

F4108US is a Update/Patch for Falcon. Its not a stand alone package .
You need to go buy the Original install disk.
Edit: Actually the last official update, except for the authorized 108i2
PS: Where is the sticky for the company selling the Falcon Package ???

Falcon4 with the 108 patch is a valid exe file from Microprose that I have used to install both BMS 4.32 and 4.33. You can get a game copy of Falcon 4 from GOG for about $6 usd, I believe.

Thank you everyone; I finally found that single f4 .exe file; pointed the setup wizard at it and I was able to continue the install of BMS 4.33
Can’t beat this staple Combat Flight Sim!

But the patch file by itself is useless :munch:
