How to calculate the length of a vehicle column using Recon windown

I remember someone mentioned that it is doable in the pre-mission recon window. Just wonder how. Anyone has any tips?

You can guesstimate, assume 25ft vehicle length, and use that as measurement.

Or in flight, you can use a TGP.
There is a length measurement above the crosshair, which changes when you move it about, that is the length of the “arm” of the cross hair on the ground at the crosshair position.
