Radio messages to headset?
-
Did I read somewhere on the forums it is possible to have the radios and other sound effects played through a default comm device, while other sound effects remain to be played through speakers? If yes, can someone point me in the right direction as to how to activate it please?
i’ve had a look through the BMS manual, but no joy…

Yes and no. Thanks for pointing me to the thread. The effect described is kinda what I’m after but I’m not adding new soundcards and new headset to my PC for the sake of it. I was kinda hoping to see similar to FSX - all the headset stuff in a real 'pit goes through the headset. I thought I read recently this was going to happen with the new DSP sound effect handling but it’s no big deal and in no way at all a show-stopper.

I have this exact setup in use. I have a sound blaster X-Fi that handles the sim sounds which goes to the speakers and that is set as the default sound device in Win 7. I use the sound card built into my motherboard for the communications end of the sim and have that set as the default communications device in Win 7. I plug my headset into the motherboards sound card connection so I can hear lead/wingmen/AWACS/Tankers directly and not miss what they are saying from other sim sounds.
