Help with dloading 4.33

Hello,
I tried downloading with bittorrent yesterday the 4.33 update and ran into some problems. Make a long story short somehow I got some sort of virus and had to completely reinstall everything, Windows etc… back to scratch. I’m not sure where it came from but I am really nervous to use a torrent again. Can anyone share a download site that I could download the update from? I would really appreciate it very much.

Some antivirus programs flag BMS as a virus even though it is not. It is entirely possible you did not have a virus at all, but were victim of an overly cautious security suite.

I don’t think it was the 4.33 file that was the problem. My son was on while it was dloading and I’m not really sure what he clicked on but the whole thing went to crap! I had all kinds of programs popping up all over the place and the only way I could get it to stop was to reformat and start from scratch. I’ve never cared for torrent software but after that little disaster I’m not going to try it again. If anyone has a download site they could let me know about I would appreciate it very much…

I just downloaded this evening… Used uTorrent which reported it as ‘dangerous’ - how laughable. ESET found nothing wrong with the download. Installed and had no problems.

I think that’s only valid for dev installs (exe protection).

Yeah, that’s a very detailed account. Your son went on your computer, clicked on something, and the whole thing went to crap. You’re not even sure what virus you got, if indeed you got one. Because of this, you naturally assume the torrent program is to blame?
Do note that BMS 4.32 and the 7 updates that followed has been initially released via torrent. I’m sure the BMS dev team chose to release 4.33 again as a torrent because of it’s inherent instability and well-known and well-documented behavior of installing viruses on user’s computers.

AND most important of all , don’t let you kids use your computer unsupervised.
