Microstick Windows 7
-
I calibrated my cougar both automatically and manually and even thought the calibration recognized it, after applying the calibration, I cannot use it in Viewer or in BMS. I am using Dunc’s profile and set up the controls as stated in his document. Does anyone have any idea of what is happening and how to solve this?
Thanks…

For a meaningful response you must provide more information. Operating system? What exactly are the non-use symptoms? What actions lead to non-use? Which BMS version? How does the HOTAS behave in the Windows device properties applet? Any sign the BMS setup recognizes the Cougar? Lots of folks are having issues with windows re-ordering their cockpit devices. Cougar should be No. 1 device.

Do you have button and axis emulation turned on? Check CCP setup.

Ok, thanks, I was able to solve the microstick problem. Now, even though the manual range knob is recognized by BMS, once I get to the cockpit, it doesn’t change the range. I checked in all the documentation, but I only found the actual button and not the knob to be mapped. Does it actually change the range, or is it not mapped and you can only select the range by using the MFD OSBs?

Range knob don’t change range yo. It used to in veeeeery old F-16s to pick the non-radar gunsight range. Today in does the fine control of the mapping FCR gain and TGP zoom.
FCR range can be through the OSBs or by bumping the cursor against the top/bottom of the scope.

there is a callback for this. map it on your HOTAS and change it quickly.
