Problematic resupply
-
I am at 1am of day 2 in RF campaign. My squadron is pretty much out of jammer pods, drop tanks and some of the AG weapons. Depletion of weapons and drop tanks may make some sense, but jammer pod is kinda ridiculous.

How many AC have been lost? Because in RL are less ECM pod than AC. I have to say I waited very long for this feature. I’m glad to hear this.

I find this one of the best features in 4.33 too.
Waited long time for this, now i have even think bit when i use smart weapons because they may run out etc

Ha……some types (e.g. KF-16) have internal ECM fits so might be better suited.
I take it there is a resupply in a campaign? - dont think I ever ran out of ordy in 10 years+

So you are saying in RL they resupply AC to a squadron but don’t resupply jammer pods? Also, my loss is way less than the number of AC I started with. How do you account for the missing pods? They dropped them like bombs in DPRK?
-
They were lost along with the aircraft that was carrying them…

Ok, let’s say we start the campaign with 12AC and 12 pods. Now, I only lost 4 ACs, but my pods went down to 0. So each AC lost carried 3 pods?

Loadout page wont show how many pods you have so… how can you say how much you have those. It shows just low, out etc…

I cheated by using MC.

Ok, then i cant understand why dev’s cant agree this so we would know that this bug is known.
-
wonder if I can use MC to manually replenish my squadron? Not an expert on MC. Just mainly use it to move squadrons around a bit.

You can.

Actually, this is very achievable. RL F-16s have carried this - though whether its a combat operational loadout, I have no idea.

3xECM pods. EF16? LOL

Whats the purpose of the C-130’s or C-5’s or C-17’s in the theater. Do the resupply flights still not work?
-
weapons got resupplied fine. But accessories like ECM pods and drop tanks are kinda neglected.
-
In fairness they arent real cheap you know.

Please, let’s not mix up again possible real life considerations with game specific questions to excuse possible bugs. I don’t think inventory items in Falcon 4 have a price tag to be evaluated by the resupply engine. Of course it’s just great to explain the behavior in suspect as a modelled feature right away. But this is a question about the Falcon 4 accounting and resupply system and should be taken as such and probably can only be answered by someone with deeper insight in those algorithms.
You see - any computer program is just code and data. Anything it does has to be modelled. If it does something that is not modelled (at least not intended) or one cannot understand why it does this or that, the only thing to do is to find out why it works this way to see if it is the rare case of an accidental feature or a bug. Unless understood it has to be considered a bug.
In no way it makes sense to attribute any real life behavior to a software that actually is not a coded part of it. Just like:
The resupply of item A does not work: A yeah, those are too expensive. You could just say the colonel wants to keep them all for himself!
My bombs do not explode: Yeah, there are duds in real life, too.
The CCRP release (held pickle) does not work: Yeah, now you have to deal with occasional real life faults.
The enemy tanks are driving over water: Yeah, maybe it was not very deep. I read somewhere a tank can wade through 2m of water.
Hit target twice, but it does not get destroyed: Yeah, in real life it can theoretically happen that if you hit the target here and not there and maybe the bomb was thumbling ….It may be funny. But it just doesn’t help
