AGM-154 / AGM-158 for GMT?
-
Hi,
does it makes sense to use those for GMT’s?
TIA

It will fly to the instantaneous location of the FCR cursors (SPI) at launch. If the target is moving then it may be gone by the time the weapon arrives.

OK, I’m asking because I’ve made a TE with AGM-158 on moving T-55. But the best result was 1 single lonely hit…
I also flew that BMS training TE, but I’m not sure if that these columns are moving, because I couldn’t get a signal in the FCR while in GMT mode. -

My other post was a little later…
Then I’ve understood correctly…, those AGM’s fly only to the point which is selected before release and there is no possibility to change the direction of that weapons, like a LGB bomb? -
Correct

A little correction here, just so people won’t get confused - The FCR cursor position not NECESSARILY represents the SPI position, I’ll give you a case: Your TGP is in tracking mode (AREA, POINT, INT) but you want to check if there are any movers nearby, so you can move your FCR to GMT mode and slew it around, at this case the FCR is at 1 position and the TGP is at another, but since TGP is tracking, the SPI stays with the TGP.
