4.33 - missile launch noise when I hit a "q" the "1" etc

Hi,
When I hit Q, T or other key to communicate, I hear a missile launch and then the announcement. So, If I hit Q,1 - hear - whoosh then picture-clear.
Very strange.
Any ideas?

In setup/controllers, what command appears in lower right, when you press “Q, T or other key to communicate”?
Or more to the point, are you seeing the correct commands? -
Hi Don,
I just checked in controllers. I hit q and it says “awac menu”, t - “ATC Menu”. Plus, of course, the command works perfectly in game. It is just the constant whoosh on hitting the key that is disconcerting. I keep thinking that I let an aim120 off but I am not.

A few more clues. It doesn’t whoosh when listening from outside the cockpit e.g. when using the outside view.
And, it is intermittent, rather than every time, when I copy the 4.32 sound folder to data (after underscoring the original 4.33 sound folder I.e. to _sounds). I think I prefer the RWR sounds in 4.32. 4.33 sounds like UK ring-tone. -
The one in 4.33 is the correct one.
Again, if you begin to mixed up 4.32 file in 4.33 you will have issues and we should not post any bug about it. -
Hi Amraam, you are reading too much into my posting. With a “virgin” 4.33 load I get the flaming whoosh. To diagnose the issue, I temporarily replaced 4.33’s sounds folder with that from an old installation of 4.32. It changed the symptoms a lot. The everytime I hit Q,1 whoosh disappears. But I have subsequently heard it intermittently.
Do you know if the 4.33 RWR sounds are actually realistic? Honestly, UK telephones use those tomes for “ringing”.

i have other problem just a long delay of rwr for see a target
do you have this problem in game?
i have a impressive sensation because IA is fantastic for dogfight
it’s a new game for winner of dogfight because i don’t have been this sensation in older family of falcon

Depend of what F-16 you use. The one with ALR56 for example use the PRI and increase the sound to get it audible. This is exacly how it work IRL.
Some other RWR will sound depend of the lock status.
Don’t worry about rwr,everything work as expected, we have good informations about it. -

sfWhat F-16 model? RPM depend of the engine, some is AB with 95/96%, some at 103%.
