Cockpit display extraction problem
-
OK first let me say I have searched for a solution to my problem but have not found advice that worked for me with similar problems others have had.
I just got a 10in screen that connects to my nvidia 660GT vid card and main 24in monitor connects to vid card with HDMI cable. I ran the cockpit display extractor and ticked the config tab to activate it, set up displays where I would like them and ran the sim. All worked great. Then after I set up my area to accommodate my different devices I started falcon and saw the extracted displays snap into place but the windowed falcon UI on my main screen is black. I left it there and made a cup of coffee thinking it would be back to normal but falcon UI was still black. The cursor was the little f-16 and I heard the music playing, as well as when I moved the cursor around it would chime when it passed over some of the buttons.
If I un-tick the config setting to extract displays falcon goes back to normal. There are no negative values in the extractor settings, I delegated the dx9.dsp (once that helped but not for this) and have tried setting different resolutions. All with no effect. I think it is strange that it would work for me testing and with no change it blacks out the falcon UI.
Up to now every issue I have ever had I was able to find someone with a similar situation who’s solution also fixed mine.
Any ideas? Or reinstall?

Bahh, sorry for cluttering up the forums, 10 min after I post this I figure out my problem. I had put the settings for the other possible displays to 0, when I gave them some positive values I got my falcon UI back. I thought I read that negative values were bad but I did not think null value would be a problem. At any rate I hope this helps someone.

Using the BMS monitor extraction tool, I did not have any issue with negative values. It depends on which is you main monitor (origin) and the relative position of your 2nd monitor.
