No need to uncage AGM 65D
-
When I go on a DEAD mission I add 2 AGM-65Ds to attack secondary targets as a supplement to the AGM-88s.
After take-off I do the mandatory BST calibration to align the AGM with the TGP.
So far so good, just like in the training mission… However I’ve noticed, unlike in the training mission, I don’t need to UNCAGE the missiles in the campaign. When selecting WPN I immediately have a weapon image on both hardpoints.Maybe a small bug or something I’ve overlooked?

Just that you are not using the same type of AGM65.
-
Are they A B D or G models?
Did you start ramp start or join airborne?
-
This isn’t a bug but was done on purpose.
The idea of the Maverick cover is to protect the missiles still on the rail from the burnout of a launched missile from the same rack, so the cover is necessary only when there is more than 1 missile on the rack, so loading 2 AGM-65s at stations 4-6 not requires a cover.
-
I wish we had the option to load Mavs with or without the covers…on any station, for any loading. And suffer any affects of doing so.
-
After rampstart and only on station 4 and 6. I-hawk’s answer is clear, no bug.

I get that it’s not a bug…I just wish we had an option in loading the weapons…hint-hint…
-
Can we still use PRE mode when launching Mavs from the LAU-88/A?
-
All LAU-88 in BMS are LAU-88A so yes.
-
Yeah, but not all mavericks are launched from LAU-88s.
