The third such LFR I have made, I was asked by many here to release it publicly.
Please grab it, test it, and enjoy. Definitely meant to fly online with other folks.
Post any feedback in this thread please.

The package is now a TE Theater with an installer, please discard old versions and redownload, remember to change your te_new file back to the original base if applicable!

Very nice!
However, you should warn users about the risk to deal with te_new.tac (witch is the base file for all campaign and new created TE.
**Be advised that messing with āte_new.tacā could break all you campaign saves and may give unexplained CTD in camping and during MP if you forget to restore the original one.
If you choose to use it, please, do not report any bugs or CTD on BMS forum except in this specific thread.**
Maybe that creating a dedicated Theater for that would be safer!?

An excellent point, however be advised that the te_new was only altered for the default Korea>Campaign>Save folder.
I have not seen any problems with my saved campaigns as yet, only KOTAR relocated.
Having said that, you dont have to mod the te-new file, if you dont the Range still works fine, just that KOTAR will not be in Japan but stay in its original ROK location.
Of course, this is uncharted territory, so back-up any saved campaign or te files you care about, but I have not seen any issues.

Incorrect!! The te_new.tac has absolutely nothing to do with campaign files original or saved, those are the Save0/1/2.cams which are the base files.

My post has only to do with what you said about Campaign files, whether they be new or Save Days/Auto Saves. Nothing more, just that you were incorrect to state that an altered te_new.tac would affect ANY campaign file is false.

I have tried all of those and seen no issues with the modded te_new. The only change made to the te_new file was to move the KOTAR object from the ROK to Japan.

question is whatās gonna happen when a client without these files joins a session where the host is running them, and vice versaā¦
personal experience sez problems are gonna arise, this should be released as an additional theater, not a direct modification of the core bms files, the te_new.tac namely.

I dont have time to make a new theater.
I have not seen any problem but as always YMMV.
I could always consider releasing the Israeli LFR I suppose as it is proven stable.

of course, rarring up the entire save folder under a different name and making a new .tdf file associated with it usually takes yearsā¦.

This is going to wind up like the old days of Open Falcon with everyone having differnt installs with addons and then when you want to fly MP it is gonna start the Flame War and everyone will start to blame BMS for their problemsā¦Guys there is a way set up to submit your new addons to the BMS crew to get it in the next release so everyone is on the same page

Havent seen any issues when tested. Only a single object was moved. So I see no need to push the panic button. If any issues arise post them here.
If issues arise I can always redo it without the modded te_new. Meantime we are enjoying it over at the 1st with no issues so far.
BTW, no need to thank me Weasel, assuming that was your obtuse way of doing so.
EDIT: hereās what I will do, tomorrow I will redo it with the orginal base te_new, moving KOTAR is not worth the concerns some folks have about stability. I will pull the file down for tonight.

Bah, if people canāt comprehend what they need to do and/or have an issue with what it takes to run this, well then too bad. I say leave it.
At the 420th, we are also having no issues as weāre intelligent enough to know what needs to be done! Is it really that hard??

Thanks to all for the PM support; upon reflection I will leave it as is. I still maintain there are no adverse effects to leaving the modded te_new in place.
And if there are any issues, I would like to know.
