Falcon and arduino?

Hi there!!
Is there any reference around on how to do that?
ThanksMorad

There is some projects, just search in the net. SIMHQ have some interesting projects by a lot of guys.
-
so i searched the net as suggested aboveā¦ā¦
the way to do it is: read falcons shared memory with C# (follow this 5 parts tutorial)
then communicate with the arduino:
easyā¦
Good luck

Thanks Morad.
Trueno Iāve searched in SimHQ and I couldnāt find the thread of that video.
I searched for Arduino, OLED, FFI, DED Fuel flow⦠No luck,
Could you be more specific? -
I knew you would see this one, MrWellā¦. I want one!!!
-
Lol, Iām still studing C# but that videos are pretty basic and very easy stuff. I need some examples with OLED displays and Arduino to get to someting
and⦠Youāll have your toy
(and me too)
-
interesting! : )
have you guys had a look at viperpits.org concerning the arduino approach?
cheers,
HiLok -
Yep, I did but I havenāt the info on this thread anyway I didnāt see anything about OLED screens. Iāll search again
[EDIT] Done, and no joy. Lot of thinks about headtrackers and something about servos but nothing about OLEDs

well ok then. maybe there is a reason the guys over at viperpits are not using arduinos as LED controllersā¦
but you can also look at eagle dynamics, some guys there are very into arduinos, like āwhartsellā (arduino & helios) or ājoe kurrā (arduino bridge)cheers,

If you can figure out how to get the data into the Arduino, I can give you the code you need to get it out of Falcon.

Thank you very much ASharpe. I will let you know when Iām there.
I saw how to read data from serial (USB) BMS PC with Arduino and C#. I also know the basics of reading data with C# from BMS.
My goal is a FFI or even fuel quantity display on Fuel gauge. Iāve just have to learn how to put info from arduino in the OLED in the correct graphic format, not just text. -
Thanks Morad.

Could you be more specific?you would not find a link to any thread with that video as Iāve not written any
Iām in the process of backlogging posts on a dedicated blog.
but itās still WIP. (I have yet to write the post for which this video will fit - itās like āpart IIIā and Iām not finished with part II post due to life, universe and everything).
blog link: http://pits.108vfs.orgI am however plan on having this project as Opensource (schematics, code and the whole lot) - so stay tuned
BTW - project already includes DED, FF, PFL, Indexers, and caution panel. with future expansions for CMDS, Eyebrow and the TWD lights. -
Thanks very much. I will!

Ooohhh men!!! Please do it!!! :bowd::bowd::bowd:

what about using aic ?

Is that an option?
Maybe you can use it for arduino to?
look at bottom of the manual

This is looking really promising, cant wait to try it out!

Well, it is not about finding ways to have a DED. There are some ways for that. It is about using OLED displays the easiest (and cheapest) way possible with BMS , for gauges, displays, etc
You can have an Arduino compatible PCB for USD$7 and an 0.96" OLED for less than 5 bucks⦠”That is a very cheap 1" gauge! -

It may be cheaper in terms of money but I am not sure that the time equivalent is going to be there.

Yep, I use three of those TFT for MFDs and ATD but tiny ones have not video display PCBs so only through other electronics it can be made.
Anyway, Uri_ba has updated his blog and now everything is there
