PLEASE I NEED HELP GUYS
-
To Arty:
hello, dear friend, may I ask you a helping hand with this same issue?
I’ getting this error after I had to reinstall Windows 10 Pro on my PC. Since I reinstalled BMS 4.33.3, I’m able to launch its 32 bit only, but I’m getting that error when I try the 64 bit one.
And I can’t get to overwrite the library ‘msvcr100_clr0400.dll’ in the folders ‘System32’ and ‘syswow64’, they’re protected both. What do you think and what should I do?
Thanks in advance!
With best regards, -
Msvcr100_clr0400.dll is a type of DLL file associated with Windows 8 Consumer Preview ISO images developed by Microsoft for the Windows Operating System. The latest known version of Msvcr100_clr0400.dll is 1.0.0.0, which was produced for Windows.
hmm
why do you want to overwrite this file?
U reinstall windows after upgrade from win8 or win8.1?
Better do a clean install of win10. I had hell with the upgrade. In general not with Falcon.
If it doesn’t let u overwrite then your user account isn’t an administrator (member of the administrators group).
If you are administrator, right click on the file and change owner or rights to your user account. To change the rights: (right click on the filename, Security tab, Edit…,Add…,Advanced…,Find Now,->Select your user account and then select OK) on the permissions as you go back with the ok’s select allow all permissions. Then it will let you do anything. BUT I don’t think by doing so will solve your problem.Did you try to delete the dx9display.dsp file?
Unplug all input devices and leave keyb and mouse only. if BMS runs then it’s an input device problem. -
Hello, dear Arty.
Thanks a lot for your well detailed reply.
I didn’t upgrade to 10 my OS system from a previous version, I had 10 Pro with its latest update instead, but I had to reinstall it by its embedded procedure because there was no recovery point available, I don’t know if I mean.
And you guessed it right, the account I was using has no administrator rights.
I’ll follow your suggestion about how to delete that ‘dx9display.dsp’ file correctly. And most of all, and anyway it goes (hope fine), thanks a lot for your kind attention and help once again!

Well lately I’m full of shit… and I get confused and confuse ppl…
So first see if it will work then thank me.
The result is that it counts at the end.
Sure as Greeks said “start is the half of everything”, but half ain’t done…
-
Not so strange instead, mate…
we Italians use to say almost the same you do, something like “Who well begins is half way of his job”.
And why shouldn’t I thank you anyway for that time you spent for my own little trouble?

-Oh your hair is fabulus how did u do it?
-Thank you use this creme and will praise me for ever…Takes the cream and ends up with pimples all over the face… hair looks good though and comes back…
-Wow nice hair but what happen to your face?
:rofl:please don’t be offended just for humor as I’m part on it also.

No offense intended, and less than ever by you… I too here always appreciated your sense of humor, Arty.
Back to the topic, though and sadly too: I’ve made all the tips you suggested me to, i.e. I disconnected all my USB devices, but that issue is still. It’s more stubborn even than I am.
And now?
Thanks again for your attention, and my apologies for bothering.

Hi Jackal
I’m with Arty on this. Best to do a completely fresh install of Windows 10. I had a nightmare upgrading from Windows 7 so I bought a Microsoft USB stick which came with both Win 10 32 & 64 bit. Cost me a few pounds though (£75 I think) but it worked a treat.
BTW Arty, I tried to send you a message earlier and think your Forum mailbox might be full I’ve sent some of the campaign stuff we spoke about to your email account.
Apologies for gate crashing guys

Just trying to think this through a bit more. If Jackal has had to do a fresh Win 10 install (rather than using a restore point) then a lot of the Win registry entries relating to his applications will have disappeared. I don’t know how much stuff BMS puts into the registry when it’s installed but I remember that I had to reinstall a lot of stuff when I installed Win 10 from the Microsoft USB device. I’d definitely try uninstalling and reinstalling BMS to restore any missing registry entries and see if that did the trick.
Sounds like one of the previous guys in this post did just that and it worked.
Cheers

Hi Jackal
Tried to message you but your forum message box is full. Just try uninstalling and reinstalling Falcon BMS again. No need to reinstall Win 10. Let me know how you get on mate.
Cheers

Hi, Duke.
Sorry, my apologies for that inconvenience - I’ll check for that.
And yes, I just jumped to your same conclusion, also because BMS is the only program malfunctioning in 64 bit.
But the strange is that I’ve checked out all its related entries in the registry, and all seemed to be in order… I’ve found one key only in that SYSWOW64 (or the like, I can’t recall its name exactly here and now), a ‘folder’ called ‘Benchmark Sims’ containing four keys.To Arty: just to keep you informed again, I’ve tried your last suggestion, about disconnecting all the USB devices before deleting that dx9display.dsp file. Nothing new happened.
And I got at last why I wouldn’t allowed to delete or overwrite those .dll files… they’re always and permanently in use by Windows, so no wonder if I can’t act anything with them.In conclusion: thanks for your help, youyr attention and your time, dear friends.
And please wish me ‘good luck’ with reinstalling BMS once more against that (in)famous BMS twilight zone. With best regards,

Good morning to all the friends here.
Just to close this topic: at last, to get rid of that 64 bit issue I’ve been obliged to reinstall Windows 10Pro - it’s due after a long time of using it, as seems, and I installed it for the first time two years and a half ago.
Thanks a lot to Arty and Duke748 for their kind support.
With best regards to all,
