How to set a cumulative (Relative) Throttle control?
-
Hello. I don’t have a HOTAS joystick and my controller doesn’t have a throttle slider, so I was wondering, is there a way I can set one of the Axes as a relative throttle control. I mean relative as in, everytime I move the stick up for example, the throttle would increase. The moment I’d center my joystick the throttle would stop increasing and would stay at that setting.
I have vJoy, UJR and GlovePIE installed, but I have no idea on how to set this or how to code. If anyone knows the code or knows how to enable relative throttle in Falcon and would like to share it with me, I’d be very thankful :3 -
If you run the default keyboard layout and don’t use TrackIR or FRAPS, you have the F7 to F12 keys available for all kinds of shenanigans - including assigning throttle controls. And unless you really have a completely unused axis, I would leave the sick’s basic functionality (stick, rudder) alone as you won’t have time to adjust your control surfaces and throttle at the same time.
If you’ve got a coolie hat, you might be able to set up a button as “pinky switch (shift)” and then assign “pinky+hat up/down” to “increase/decrease throttle”.

Well. I’m already using my HAT switches for things. But I’ll try figuring something out. Maybe using JoyToKey.
Thanks
