ACMI and Pausing sim to deal with RL

I sometimes have to deal with RL in the middle of a flight. I was wondering if ACMI will pause as well or keeps recording? I searched here but didn’t find an answer. (Or may have missed it)

Should pause. If you freeze, the sum is still active and the acmi will record

When you ‘pause’ or ‘freeze’, why not stop ACMI and restart it when you restart the sim?

It would make a new file. I think the ACMI frames are linked to the in-game time so it should look like nothing happened over a pause. Freeze might be different.
