RWR in 4.33 / U1
-
Gentlemen,
I was just compairing the cockpit layout for the F-16A MLU, more precisely the RWR as in the following picture:
with the ones we have in 4.33 / U1 and didn´t find any similar RWR in the database.
It just happens that, in the presentation video for 4.33, we can see this footage for the RNLAF F-16:
So, I’m assuming this is the same RWR that and it’s supposed to be included in the sim, but checking all the F-16 cockpit parents in sim I still can’t find it…Am I having a wrong assumption here?
Already checked all of the RWR systems included in the avionics configurator also but still no joy.
Can anyone clarify this please?
Thank you in advance.

RWRs are pretty much the most sensitive system on modern Aircraft.
you find very little accurate information on them. So modeling and coding in every possible variant is pretty hard.
4.33 includes a few DIFFERENT RWR system, each of them has slightly different display logic, detection precision, and detection bands (i.e what radars it can detect). we tried to match each aircraft to the closest known match, but it’s not 100% possible to get exact match.still much better then previous falcon versions (including 4.32) where all RWR were exactly the same (minus the texture on the RWR screen in the cockpit)
in the future we hope to be able to get more systems in, but no promises. as there are more important things to do on the BMS roadmap

What you have on your pic is never existed version (to my very good informed source) of TERMA ATD interface upgrade of original ALR-69 RWR system that was originaly in delivered MLUs.
I made same error to trust to this picture and implemented that TERMA as separate RWR and in fact I should just make new interface on top of existing ALR-69. That false TERMA RWR was removed before release. I have some plans to implement more real TERMA ATD/ALR-69 combo. Nothing set for sure though as Uri said; obtaining any information on those stuff is nearly impossible so it will be part improvisation.
In reality it is this system

Thank you for your explanations, gents. It’s all perfectly clear now.
Keep up the wonderful workCheers

Am still waiting for confirmation, but my sources told me Portuguese MLU uses these;

Yeah it’s just an ALR-69 as all the other MLU before the ATD (except the AM-BAF).
