!! What is Known About Fratricide of Bombs in a Multi-Bomb Strike?

I’m creating a TE for a simulated strike mission against a large building: Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City, known to be housing the Hamas HQ in a bunker in the basement.

My question for mission planners is this: What should be taken into account for the possible fratricide of multiple bombs striking a target like this?

I plan to use a BLU-109 GBU-15 for the initial hit, to penetrate inside the building and collapse it.

Then a sequence of 2 or 3 more Mk-84 GBU-15’s or Spice to crater down in the rubble for insurance.

Would a mission planner allow time for each frag to subside before the next hit, to avoid a possible fratricide detonation before the bomb reaches the intended impact point?

BMS4.33 does not have such modeling so you question is pointless.

planning-wise, i suppose minimun time is needed between the bombs. i believe they ripple the bombs with some time delay so the first bomb will create the initial penetration and ,like a second after or some short time(weaponeering dependant) after the first impact, the second bomb will take advantage of the first bomb’s penetration and blast the bunker to kingdom come.

Understood, but I’m interested in the real world situation in order to make my TE as realistic as possible.

That’s not true. You can indeed legally bomb such a structure.given the right situation.

That has been true so far. I think it depends on the level of escalation. It also depends, politically, on the West’s relation to Islam in general. It’s getting closer, and when radical Islam crosses “the big red line”, Israel may have the political latitude to adjust the level of response.

So far, “mowing the lawn” has been the order of the day. Maybe not always.

Not 100% true, It will be bombed if there is enough evidence to make it legitimate target. And it nearly happened in 2014 when some rockets were fired from the Hospitals backyard(or extreamly near to its fence I am not sure), the strike was called off due to the fact of few kids were playing near by(in the blast radius).
