Advice on BMS please, new here

Hi! All
You guys seem like an incredible community!!
I was an avid Falcon 4.0 user right at the start for several years (1998-2003).
Then I was one of the first users of LOMAC and everything that followed…
The recent evolution of DCS and by the way X-plane, etc… has been fantastic! But…
I am thirsty for ‘immersion’…
Ever since I stopped flying Falcon I miss the immersion factor…
And I saw some nice things on the net about BMS 4.33 and this is my first peek at this forum.
Does anyone can recommend me how to go about it? Is it worthed after having mastered DCS A-10C, etc. ? Where to start? There is so much info and stuff here!!!
Thanks for the help!:D -
Welcome form another DCS A10C flier.
The Viper is much more versatile and survivable than the Hawg.
So much more to learn and master.
Brother, get on the stick.

Thanks Mower!
I do remember you very well from the DCS forums (if you had the same name).
What path do you suggest?
Any really good tutorials to get started?
I really want to evaluate if it is worth all the conversion -
What path do you suggest?
One hardcore flier to another, you will know there are no shortcuts.
But I would start with the Allied Force manual and tutorials here:
http://www.f-16.net/downloads_file11.html
Then maybe the BMS training doc in the sim docs folder:
x:\Falcon BMS 4.33\Docs\Falcon BMS Manuals

I know what you are talking about…
But its nice to have a starting point…
thanks!
Did you switch to BMS after DCS or you were a Falcon 4 flyer before? -

If you have mastered DCS A10c than going to the Viper will be quite easy.
Tms
Dms
Cms
Soi
SpiA lot are in common.
There will be things to learn of course. There are a lot of well made tutorials on YouTube

Start with a couple of stiff drinks. Then maybe some dirty dancing with the woman of your life. If you aren’t ready to start after that, you will never be ready
Read everything and do the training missions. Stick time is the best training aid. Good luck and Welcome Aboard!

Did you switch to BMS after DCS or you were a Falcon 4 flyer before?Hey JEFX, I recently started seeking my falcon 4 BMS degree as well. The path I choose was start with the excellent training TEs and manual for them. As you start going through the training missions reference the other resources on each topic. It is slow and some missions will take you a while to do because of all the related materials in other manuals. I did buy 3 of the new manuals but you can use the pdf versions. Load them all up on another device/monitor and use the pdf search feature and you are on the fastest point A to point B learning path i think you will find. As you know its going take some time but sure is working for me.
