“Thrustmaster Combined” device is a virtual device created by running a TARGET GUI profile or a TARGET Script Editor script for the duration that it is running. Depending on the exact way TARGET is configured it will replace the included Thrustmaster controllers. Thrustmaster controllers excluded from the script/profile function normally as when TARGET is not running.

I’m not sure what the point is here. The combined warthog is a virtual USB device that replaces the separate stick and throttle when TARGET is running (assuming the active profile includes both). As I see it, the value of the virtual device is that TARGET can do some cleaver things that are difficult or impossible solely with the bare devices and BMS. I’ve found that with the new DX semantics in 4.33 (actions on both press and release of buttons), most of what Morphine’s TARGET profile does can be done directly. Still can’t use the POV hat on the throttle as far as I know and released buttons don’t happen until after they are pressed once (e.g. Master Arm will be On until the associated switch is placed in the on position and then placed in the off position).

Having used a Saitek X-36 before acquiring a Warthog and not being overly attached to the old 4.32 standard keyboard bindings, I decided to use the bare devices with the new Key File Editor and program the stick and throttle directly. Works for me and doesn’t require the profiles/scripts, seems to give me a few more FPS,and best of all, I almost understand it!

              hello.
Download and test my profile, I have a PDF file explaining the steps (tutorial). after you learn how to use it, you can try Morphine´s or Mud´s profile.

Sure. TARGET programming determines the controller output. The Falcon control config is what the game does with that output.

I don’t use the .fcf GUI format but the .tmc Script Editor format as it is infinitely easier to edit when working directly with the text.
