Help! I've Fallen and Can't Find My SA!!

Actually my SA is getting better. However after flying about 10 campaign missions I’ve noticed there’s no timing mark for the carat on the HUD speed tape. Is there a reason why it isn’t there or is this another issue I’m having that no one else is? This laptop doesn’t seem to like F4.
