I am fairly new to this game, though not to flight sims(DCS, IL2 Cliffs of Dover). I have some utterly basic questions as I can’t answer them on my own and using the search function Didn’t yield good results. Please bear with me.

      1. Is there a way to fully use my warthog HOTAS w/o a proper script? While the latter is most useful, I always have to start target and run the script. Once I forget doing that before launching BMS, my controls are screwed and I have to reconfigure everything. Most annoying.

      2. How can I assign commands to my HOTAS without having to tamper with my script? Pushing buttons when I activate (in order to assign) something in the controls menu, does nothing. I can only assign keyboard keys, albeit the main input device being my joystick.

3.Lastly, is there a good tutorial or explanation on how to navigate the controls menu? It is very cumbersome, to say the least, and it feels like I’m failing this before I even jumped into the cockpit.

      Any help would be appreciated

      Cheers,
      Kansas

If you have your WH set up properly with TARGET in BMS you can set two files to read only to avoid having to re-configure the HOTAS. It makes it so you only have to exit BMS, load the script and re-start BMS then it will be as it should. Both files are in the Falcon BMS 4.33/Users/Config folder and are the axismapping.dat and joystick.cal files.
