Win 10 Joysticks Lose Function In 3D

Since upgrading to win 10, I was having a problem with my USB input devices, Cougar HOTAS and MFD’s, losing function in the sim 3D world. The buttons would simply stop functioning, then resume normal function after awhile. I found the info on the registry hack to disable Win 10 Enhanced Power Management; however that did not solve my problem. This did (at least it seems to work so far):

Open the Device Manager, then expand the section for Universal Serial Bus controllers. For ALL of the USB Hubs right-click to invoke the menu. Choose “Properties”, go to the power management tab and uncheck the tick box that allows the computer to turn off the device. Do the same for all the USB Input devices.
