Returning to Falcon4 after 15 years
-
hey everyone,
im an old fan of F4, but as the years went by, it slowly slipped from my radar. recently i stumbled across a bms 4.33 video and was amazed at how far the game has come since the days of efalcon, SP and so on.
from the bottom of my hearth id like to thank all the guys and girls who kept working on this game for so long.so excited to get back into the game
have to first read up on the control input changes, and understand how to set up my x52pro.
again, thanx for keeping this awesome game alive!

15 years wow, you must feel rusty ^^

Hey Papa, welcome back to Falcon. I too got it originally when it came out in 1998 and kept up with it until about 5-6 years ago, then saw BMS 4.33 trailer too and jumped back in. It will take some effort to absorb it all and learn it, but once you do (and Iām still learning!), itās a blast. Have fun!

thanx. yep i can see how steep of a learning curve it will be. spent 2 hours searching for a way to setup my hotas. opened the keystroke editor excel file, and nearly had a stroke
could this be any more confusing -
Welcome back! Hell of a leap to make from F4 to BMS, youāll be busy for a long while hahah! Itās definitely not your parents falcon anymore

Question:
Since the developers are human beings like me and you, why dont they approach some major commercial developing company with Falcon BMS, make the paltform more stable and solid. And sell it worldwide, it seems all the major and minor elements are there, but how come the original developers of BMS did not think to make their work commercial ? it would help both parties, the producer and the consumer/user.
Personally speaking, I would be willing to pay some cash for Falcon BMS if I knew I was supported by a commercial development company / entity that would back me up in case i run into a CTD or have some queries. Not to belittle the hard work that is already done but to give their work more elevation.

Nope, nope, and nope. This has been debated to death on this forum already, and the team position is clear : no money in BMS. No point in piling up in this debate. Thanks for understanding.

I am in the same boat as Papa, Falcon 4.0 years ago and not that kids are gone was looking to get back into the sim⦠Got here and OMG as all have said, āThis isnāt the old 4.0 at allā /// Working on the big learning curve but enjoying every moment of it. Still flying with older Salitek AV8R-03 controller and well working out all the issues⦠For those that kept this alive, BIG HIGH 5 to you it is fantastic!!
