Not only a problem of map or terrain engine. It is much more complex than that and would need a total code rewrite (probably from scratch) … in two words: Falcon4 world is flat, core war engine can’t work in global earth model.

Falcon4 is not, and will never be FSX.

Because the whole structure of the game makes impossible to do this. And also would be pointless to make such large map. It would nothing to add for exchange the required resource for it.

Well… Proland looks like a very nice and impressive product, Can F4 get to that level of terrain rendering? sure yes, but it’ll take time and efforts to get to a level even close to that. Will F4 be able to have a unite map of the entire world one day? it’s hard to answer, because even with a new terrain engine (let’s assume that it will happen one day) managing the entire globe is not trivial at all.

There are many theaters out there. I have not flown in any others for a long time now, but if you simply switch from one theater to another, you can get a sense of BMS being a global theater. It is not a 1 global theater sim, but you can get a type of global theater experience with adding different theaters.

Just throwing in a fantasy on this thread, but I really hope one day one of the new theaters will be the USA/Canada in the Pacific Northwest region… it would be so much fun defending my own country!

I think a USA theater would be great, but not from Canada. Say from the west cost or from the Gulf of Mexico area. Maybe Russia invades Alaska and down through Canada, or China invades from the Pacific. Or Central America invades from the south???

why not a north polar circle map, after all, it would be a very direct invasion plan.

Why did you assume I was talking about “USA vs Canada”??? I was thinking more along the lines of USA & Canada allied against a common Russian aggression via invasion through Alaska. Wouldn’t that be a cool scenario? But the geographical theater would be the USA/Canada NW region, right?
