Auto-record VHS/ACMI
-
Is there any way to get the flight recording (“F”) to auto-start at the beginning of mission? I keep forgetting to start it till halfway through!

BMS Manual p19 (in your \Falcon BMS 4.33\Docs\Falcon BMS Manuals folder) lists the command line parameters you can add to the BMS shortcut.
Command line parameters can be added to the BMS shortcut. Right click the BMS icon and click properties.
In the shortcut tab, the path to the launcher is given in the target box. All command line parameters must be
separated from the exe with a space, then add them as they are displayed below. More than one command
line parameters can be set
For instance: “C:\Falcon BMS 4.33\Launcher.exe” –window –nomovie
-acmi: Will automatically start ACMI recording each time you enter 3D. -
Thanks! I am suitably chastened for insufficient RTFM-ness and appreciative of your extra effort in extracting the info and posting it.

Tried it and it works…sort off…it does record automatically which is wonderful, but, only my ordnance employment.
Only when using F/ Switch does it record every action.
You can test it in a simple dogfight…it records only your bullets.
Hope there is a walk around. -
Need a way to integrate an option to enable active tacview recording within sim.

For me, it generates multiple files per mission. All but one of these files are truncated, perhaps only limited to release/firing of ordnance as suggested. However, ONE of these files has the entire mission. You can pick out this file because of its size, typically thousands of kB. I ignore the smaller files.

4 files are generated, with 3 being acmi ones.
2 of these acmi files are 1K large and the 3rd contains all the mission data…but without other’s ordnance.
I don’t know if more data is absent, but the data absent as is makes this method lacking, in my opinion. -

I definitely see my missiles flying to and subsequently impacting/missing targets and other missiles impacting (
) me.

Well…it seems like I made a mistake.
The auto acmi operattion does work exactly like the manual operation.
There is though some kind a problem with ordnance recording which is lacking in online mp…eg some players’ employed ordnance don’t show on the tape…but that’s not for this thread.
