      Hi,

Here’s the debriefing of my TE mission, where I shot down two Frogfoots flying a Ja-37 Viggen:

On the one hand: mission success, assigned target destroyed, on the other - performance: poor, A-A kills: 0. What gives?

A known issue? My mistake? Something that needs correction by the devs?
Dear theatre devs, not a big deal, but please investigate if you can spare a few moments. Nothing urgent, I assure you… 😉

          My guess:
You (BLUE1) were tasked to intercept and kill RED1. While you were en-route, however, BLUE2 already killed RED1. This completed your objective, hence Mission Success.

When you arrived on station, you found a few other contacts and shot at them. That you have no registered A-A kills (which results in your Poor-rating) could be because:

          1. You missed. Since the debrief states all missiles hit a target, this can be dismissed.
          2. You hit your targets, but only damaged them. I do believe BMS only counts kills when they are a direct result of your missile. If you blow out their control surfaces for example, and they crash, BMS will not consider it your kill, but some sort of “controlled flight into terrain”.
          3. You hit your targets, but they were blue or neutral. These also won’t be added to your kill-count, and in campaign will result in court martial, possible demotion etc. As you say they were two Frogfoots, I would expect they were red, but could you check the mission to be sure?

Both targets were destroyed. In either case, the first missile would just cause damage, the second finished it off, hence mission success, and it can be clearly seen when I unfold the Ordnance fired menu.

Edit: Yes, the targets are designated as ‘red’, and I fly for the ‘blue’ force as the only a/c in the air. I didn’t think I would need more friendly assets to deal with just two Frogfoots… 😉
