Saitek x52 ministick and wheel mouse not working
-
I can not get my ministick and wheel mouse to work in the game. I would like to use either of these buttons to zoom in. Outside the game they both function (ministick moves the cursor and Wheel Mouse scolls pages and clicking the wheel mouse produces the same result as right clicking the mouse). Any ideas?

How do you have these mapped? Are you using the registry hack to enable the mini-stick axes for the game or using the SST software? Since you say the MiniStick moves the mouse it sounds like you installed the SST software and drivers. I found that to get ALL the buttons on the throttle to be available in-game I have to leave the Properties window open in the background during the game (Control Panel->Hardware and Sound->Devices and Printers->X52->Controller Settings) I just leave it open behind the Falcon window and it enabled me to use all the buttons, the mouse wheel, the left thumb wheel by the LCD as a button (Not a scroll), and the Mode rotary on the stick. I do not have any Saitek software or drivers installed, I use the Win7 drivers that Windows Update downloads for the X52, and did my bindings via DirectX mapping in the .key files, along with the registry change to enable the MiniStick. I prefer to keep the twist rudder so I disabled one of the rotaries on the throttle instead. Doing it this way maps the Mouse Wheel as buttons (One for scroll up, one for scroll down, and one for click), as well as assigning a specific button id to each position on the mode selector (Which I find useful for the AA/AG ICP buttons). To do what you said, you could map the buttons on the mouse wheel to range inc/dec, but I don’t think it could be used as an axis for analog range.
