DATALINK PROBLEM

I finally got my datalink working with the CONT light on, my flight shows up on the HSD like it is suppose to I go to the ded and, list, enter, seq, for intraflight (this is where i am at a lost) do I enter my package flight #s which I do but nothing shows up on the FCR Or Hsd for my package I followed the manuel and it still don’t show.!!! On a mission I locked up a air target on the fcr i hit the button for my #2 wingman I got XMT and ASSign in the hud. But the wingman just sat there and twiddled his thumbs So I shot down the target Isn’t he supposed to engage But Hell what I know

It is best to use “Attack my Target”.

Did your wingman already have “weapons free” at this moment?
I think, just “showing” him the target is not enough. -

So in the briefing where it has listed the package elements, is your flight the first in the list? if so then the next flight down in the list will be 2 so for that flight lead just have 2-1 in your DL for intraflight. I take it you’ve done this correct but just checking. I only have the lead of each flight in your package as you only have 4 spots to assign. Unless there is only one other flight like a TARCAP for an interdiction but dont see the point, i’d still just have its’ flight lead.
If you’re listing the package elements correct in your DL then the reason why you’re not seeing the other flights is most likely because they havent took off yet- in the UI before you get in the pit check the take off times for the other flights. They show up when they take off and they’ll be green on your HSD/FCR. In some package sorties i’ve flown theres’ been flights that have took off from an AB on the other side of South Korea so you’d need to expand your HSD to max range to be able to see them, and then obviously as you get closer to the push point (steer two) you start coming together, and as long as you’re all sticking to your planned times on steer then for example, an escort flight will be just ahead of a SEAD escort, which will be just ahead of the strike flight…i think.
