Engineers battalions behaviour

Hello,

does anyone know exactly how an engineer battalion works during it’s repair duty? To stop the enemy’s repairing process entirely, do i have to destroy each and every single vehicle in the battalion, even if it is a btr-80?

More or less, I think. And engineers used to move with BTRs (and modified version of tanks, if for this, but unfortunately not in BMS).
