Need help after installing new graphics card
-
Hi I now have a GTX 960 and went to play BMS. It loaded up fine, selected the ramp start TE (in 4.32) as in this TE with my previous graphics card caused drop in FPS so wanted to test it with my new card. I click on take off and i select ramp and it counts down. But when that screen goes, rather than go to the loading screen with the picture of the F-16, the game crashes to the desktop saying BMS stopped working and no obvious solution to the issue is found by windows. This is obviously something to do with my new graphics card maybe i just have to adjust some settings in the Nvidia control panel but i’ve no idea what. Any help would be greatly appreciated- thanks.

I’ve a GTX 970, with nothing special done to the driver setup.
I run W8.1 Pro with 16GB RAM under an FX9590. Nvidia 364.72 drivers.
BMS 4.33 runs fine for me. What are your system specs? Did you have an Nvidia video card before the GTX 960? If not, did you do a clean removal of the other company’s video drivers before installing the GTX 960?

Sorry i found out the problem just had to fiddle with the in game graphics settings, just one thing needed tweaking not sure what it was but before it said level 0 and i changed it to level 3 (i think, was the highest level anyway) and works fine now and is just fantastic. Sooooo smooth, great fps and i can look around now with such accuracy and do everything in the pit so much quicker…awesome! the GTX 960 rocks!

Try deleting “dx9display.dsp” in your user folder.
Restart falcon and set up your display tab again.

Hi, I have de the same Gtx 960 like you, with the same problem.
But in my case, I change the setttings in the game graphics (multisampling = quality level 3) but doesn’t work.
Could you tell me something more about that you changed?Thank you!
