Directx, something different

So there is this new way to make direct x devices order stick to their positions. great. Tested it yesterday and seems to work great. no matter what device i plug in or out, my x65 stays the selected controller when i start.

However…

I have this 3d mouse which i plug in en out a lot. Whenever i take it out, my x65 afterburner settings dissappear (setAB) , and all my BMS deadzones reset to their default values (annoying). plugging the 3d mouse back in again and settings are back again. What is happening here?

(leaving the 3dmouse connected or disconnected is not an option). How do i solve this?
